 It was fun and chocolatey (is that even a word?). My siblings are silly. 

 I think I had the messiest job.

I definitely ate way too much last week.

My Thanksgiving break was wonderful.

It was full of quality family time, quality boyfriend time, tons of food, lots of shopping, and relaxing. 

I hope you had a wonderful holiday! 

I enjoyed Black Friday shopping with my mom.

I got Christmas presents for several people and several pairs of shoes. 

I can't believe I will be done with school for the semester in just two weeks.

In a way I am ready for it and then again I'm not.

Crafty Lady

Last night I was so tired I didn't really want to do anything.

My roommate was getting crafty the other night and I couldn't join her because I had homework. (sad face)

I decided last night that I wanted to be crafty too! 

Look at what I made! 

I think I will make more and place them in frames or use them as cards.

Exhausting

Last week I started my full-time internship.

I go to an elementary school every day. 

I'm gone from 6:45 am to about 4 pm every week day.

I am exhausted. 

I love going, and I love being with the kids but they steal all my energy. 

They have so many questions and stories to share. 

I am physically sore when I get home. Feels like I completed an intense workout (what's that?).

I know there are a lot of people who work longer and harder than I do. 

It has just been a major adjustment going from a college student schedule to a full-time work schedule.

Now I'm off to do homework.

The Largest Home in America

I took a field trip with my 4th graders last week. 

We visited the largest privately owned home in the United States. 

We went to the Biltmore Estate.

It was fun and gorgeous. 

There are four floors and two basements.

There is a bowling alley and a swimming pool in the basement. 

Crazy right?

The house was built by George Vanderbilt.

This home had the largest library I have ever seen. It was amazing, I could have stayed in there forever.

I enjoyed learning about the history of the home.

I can't wait to go back and spend all day there. 

If you get the opportunity to go, you should take it. 

Hopefully you won't have to ride a school bus for two hours there and back. 

Unfortunately I didn't have time to take a lot of pictures.

But I can cross this off of my list! yay!

Making a Difference - Kind Over Matter

Kind Over Matter is a blog that I have been reading for a while now.

They always seem to make me smile.

This blog is run by Jenn and Amanda. 

They started this blog with the hope of spreading love and kindness through their card drops.

A card drop is when someone drops a card with kind words on in public places like a restaurant, library, in window and many other places. They leave the card there so someone else can find it and hopefully smile. 

They focus on kind projects and art as well as the handmade community. 

Jenn and Amanda provide a lot of freebies and printables (including their awesome card drops).

Their blog is full of quotes and lovely images.

They post lovelies every Friday with links that made them smile throughout the week. 

They are working hard to make the world a kinder place. 

Kind Over Matter is currently entered in the Pepsi Refresh Project.

They are hoping to turn Kind Over Matter into a non-profit organization so they can provide grants to artists in the handmade industry. 

They made an awesome video that helps explain it.

They need our votes to help them accomplish this.

Sunrise and the Park!

I have the best boyfriend ever.

He got up early on his day off to go watch the sunrise with me. 

We watched the sun come up from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

It was so beautiful. I was so happy I got to share it with him. 

Now I can cross it off of my 101 things to do in 1001 days list. 

After a long nap, we went to the park to play. 

We had a lot of fun. 

I really hope we never grow up (all the way).

Of course after a hard day of playing we went for delicious ice cream. 

It was pretty much a perfect Saturday. 

Project You Sunglasses!

The Project You Sunglasses finally made their way to visit me in Boone! 

I was so happy when I opened my mailbox and saw them. I was even happier once I realized they were pink! 

I loved wearing the glasses so much. I have admit I will be sad to see them leave.

I wore the sunglasses to watch the sunrise. It was so beautiful! 

The other people watching the sunrise laughed when they saw me with my glasses. 

What a perfect way to start the day!

A trip to the playground is not complete without swinging.

I loved to see people smile and laugh.
